العوامل المؤثرة على التحصيل الدراسي وبعض استراتيجيات التعلم والاستذكار

This study aims at identifying personal and study related factor affecting academic achievement among students, and also to determine learning and study styles that promote their attainment. The study used the descriptive analytical method based on text books, journals, periodicals and theses as research sources. Factors affecting academic attainment were divided into, factors connected with the student him / herself, factors related to learning environment, and factors related to the surroundings. Learning and study style were divided to strategies related to motivation, others related to student\'s skills in time management and anxiety control, and others related to some abilities and mental functions. The results revealed that the three factors were effective positively on attainment (personal factors, learning environment and external environment). Also learning strategies were positively correlated with attainment. The present study comprised some recommendations, the most important is to consider learning strategies as a separate curriculum.
